ค่ะ and ครับ are polite particles — they depend on the speaker's gender, not the listener's.
When to use it
ช่วย (chûay) means "to help," ด้วย (dûay) adds "also/please." In an emergency, say it loud and clear — Thais respond instinctively. A polite request for assistance: ขอความช่วยเหลือหน่อย (khɔ̌ɔ-khwaam-chûay-lǔa-nɔ̀y) — though ช่วยด้วย is faster and universally understood.
Why you've seen it spelled differently
You may have seen ช่วยด้วย written as: chuay duay, choo-ay duay, cuai duai.
