When to use it
เหมือน (mɨ̌an) means "same/similar," กัน (kan) means "each other/together." The phrase เหมือนกัน (mɨ̌an-kan) is the Thai behind the famous "same same" tourist phrase — though Thais themselves say เหมือนกัน (mɨ̌an-kan), not the English loanback. เหมือนกัน เลย (mɨ̌an-kan ləəy) means "exactly the same."
Why you've seen it spelled differently
